  1. Now I do get that people would be interested in unusual foods and visits to exciting restaurants, or even a general discussion of different food cultures – but this is somewhat unusual. However, if listing all your food is what is culturally required to blend in then go for it. It also has its positive sides as it allows to track where you went and to reconstruct a rough schedule of your movements, which I found very interesting!
    Also, celeriac is not that unusual for England – most supermarkets do have some. Kohlrabi is much harder to find and I do miss it…

    1. Aha! I was racking my brains to try and remember that rare German vegetable you told us about, so thanks for mentioning it! (Probably not available in Japan, either, I should think.)
